Brewers Hill Neighborhood Cleanup

July 16, 2020 | Categories: Announcements, Community, Events

The Brewers Hill neighborhood cleanup usually takes place in the month of May, however, the COVID-19 health emergency postponed our original cleanup date. The new date is scheduled for Saturday, July 25th. This is an event where picking up nearby litter can easily be done while maintaining proper social distancing.
The cleanup will function differently than years past…no pre or post gathering, no maps distributed, and the cleanup timeframe will range from 10 AM – 3PM. You are welcome to go at your own pace during this timeframe. Please be sure to: wear gloves, wear a mask, maintain proper social distancing, and avoid and do not pick up any sharp objects.
A free dumpster from DPW was secured and this dumpster will be located at 1st & Vine. Trash bags will be distributed at this location. And by distributed, that means they will be in a box next to the dumpster!
If you are more comfortable staying closer to home, consider doing a “Doorstep Cleanup” where you can help pick up litter around your homes/property/block.
During the cleanup, “Rep your step and your neighborhood” by posting a picture of your cleanup to social media with #DoorstepCleanup. Feel free to mention where you live and tag
