Traffic Calming Continues to Expand Across Historic Brewers Hill

In 2022, Department of Public Works (DPW) and the Departments of City Development had coordinated with the board members of the Historic Brewers Hill Association for infrastructure improvements within the Tax Incremental District (TID) 41 boundary.  One of the requests at that time from neighbors was for traffic calming and speed humps.  We coordinated directly, as the representatives for Brewer’s Hill, for traffic circles, speed humps and pinned-on concrete bump out locations.

DPW contracted this project at the end of 2022, but winter set in before the contractor was able to complete the TID 41 improvements.  The work was intended to be completed in 2023, but some of the improvements were not scheduled within the 2023 construction season and is now being completed. 

We apologize for not being ahead of the scheduled timing on this but want to relay all the information now that we have it to the community. The speed hump construction is planned to be completed by the end of this week, May 3rd, 2024.
